With the aim of continuing to improve the quality of teacher education and strengthening the movement to hone teaching skills among students, Hong Duc University held the Teaching Skills Contest for the 2025–2026 academic year on the morning of January 17, 2026. The contest is a meaningful professional activity that helps put into practice the goal of fundamental, comprehensive education reform in line with the spirit of the 2018 General Education Program. Students from the Faculty of Social Sciences excelled, winning the Overall First Prize.

With rich content and lively discussion, the program opened up a range of engaging and meaningful questions about the study of folklore in particular, and Vietnamese literature more broadly.

The 24th Vietnam Poetry Day in Thanh Hoa was held over two days, March 2–3, 2026 (the 14th–15th days of the first lunar month in the Year of the Fire Horse), at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Cultural Site in Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province. The event was organized by the Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts in collaboration with the Hac Thanh Ward People's Committee and other relevant organizations. Hong Duc University participated with a poetry exhibition booth and a wide range of activities involving its staff, lecturers, and students. The event provided an opportunity for the University's academic community to engage in creative literary activities, interact with poets and poetry enthusiasts, promote the University's image, deepen students' appreciation of poetry, and contribute to improving the quality of education in the Literature Teacher Education and Literature Studies programs.

On the evening of May 21, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences at Hong Duc University held the final round of the 7th Literature Students in Creative Experiential Activities Contest for the 2025–2026 academic year in the University's main hall. The contest is an annual extracurricular activity for students majoring in Literature Teacher Education and Literature Studies. It gives students the opportunity to express their creativity through literary works, while helping to build key competencies for citizens of the digital age. Through the contest, students also gained new, practical knowledge to prepare them for future careers related to the field of Literature.

On the morning of April 13th, 2022, the Faculty of Social Sciences - Hong Duc University successfully hosted a seminar with the topic "Feminism in the Social Sciences and Humanities Research". This is one of activities in cooperation program between Hong Duc University and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In the seminar, there were presentation of Professor Gabriele Linke, Faculty board of Social Sciences Faculty, representatives of functional departments, lecturers and students of Faculty of Social Sciences.
